Wonton Soup For Stovetop or Instant Pot

Fast and flavorful for a nice lunch or light supper.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup homemade chicken broth
- 1 cup water (if using store-bought broth, double broth and omit water)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce, plus more to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice Powder (can omit and it will still taste great, just different)
- 4oz cooked chicken breast, chopped
- 2 carrots, peeled & sliced
- 2 ribs celery, sliced
- 14 mini chicken cilantro wontons (from the frozen section of costco or trader joes)
DIRECTIONS
For Instant Pot: Add all ingredients to your instant pot and close lid, making sure it is in the sealed position.
Cook on manual high for 5 minutes, allowing the pot to release pressure naturally.
For Stovetop: Add all ingredients except wontons to a heavy sauce pan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add wontons and continue to simmer for 2-3 more minutes or until wontons are cooked through.
Divide evenly between 2 large soup bowls. Add more soy sauce to taste.
