Marinara Sauce for Instant Pot or Stovetop
Minimum effort, maximum yum
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Two (2) 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 large bay leaf
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- Optional: 1/4 cup chopped assorted fresh herbs (basil, parsley, oregano, marjoram). Use whatever you have on hand.
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
DIRECTIONS
Instant Pot: Warm garlic in olive oil on sauté. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Cook on manual high pressure for 15 minutes, natural pressure release
Stovetop: Warm garlic in olive oil in a large pot. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Bring to a simmer. Simmer on low heat, covered, for 20 minutes.
Makes enough for 2lbs of pasta plus extra for pizza sauce or to simmer an egg in the next morning.
